The Tokyo Communication Arts (TCA) Technical College follows Three Educational Guidelines, which are: Vocational Education, Human Education, and International Education.
With a belief that in order to develop the talent that is needed in the industry, the student must work alongside the industry, TCA has practiced an "academia-industry collaborative education" since its establishment in 1988 by providing programs that work in close cooperation with companies, and by doing so has been successful in producing students that become immediately effective in the professional creative industry after graduation.

The TCA's E-Entertainment Department is dedicated to creating and delivering entertainment for a new era. It offers a unique program called "CG, Movie and Animation World" which offers five majors of three years each, enabling students to acquire the skills necessary to succeed in the entertainment industry.
Majors Offered:
Students will learn through a balance of "fun to create", "finishing skills" and "presentation skills". They also gain an understanding of the mindset of a designer and techniques to bring their ideas to life, in order to become first class professionals.
Program highlights include learning cutting-edge technologies from industry professionals, such as 3DCG imaging and animation production techniques. Students also develop communication skills necessary for the industry, as well as work and thinking skills.
Thanks to the TCA's E-Entertainment Department, students can choose and take courses in other majors based on their goals and interests. This allows students to broaden their horizons and improve their skills, while providing opportunities to change majors while in school.
Nishikasai, where TCA is located, is a quiet and safe residential area of Tokyo. It offers a peaceful environment for studying and living, while being close to downtown Tokyo with excellent public transportation access.
Around the school, you will find many restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and stores for easy shopping and dining. There are also parks and green spaces where you can relax and take a walk after class. Just a short walk from the school, you will find Kasai Rinkai Park, which is Tokyo’s largest waterfront park, offering a breathtaking view of Tokyo Bay. You can also enjoy the Tokyo Disney Resort, which is only 15 minutes by train from Nishi-Kasai Station.
Nishikasai is a district of Edogawa-ku, known for its annual festivals, the most famous of which is the Tokyo Bay Fireworks Festival, taking place every summer and attracting thousands of visitors. The Game Graphic & Character Major focuses on developing the artistic and CG skills required by the game industry to create captivating characters and design popular games.
Students showcase their work at major events such as the Tokyo Game Show, where CG, video, and anime projects from students across different disciplines are exhibited.
The course has a strong track record of achieving 100% job placement for graduates for the past 10 years, with notable employment at companies such as FromSoftware, Square Enix, Sega, GREE, Capcom, and many more.
The three-year curriculum covers fundamental skills in digital art, character drawing, game planning and presentation, as well as advanced topics such as 3D CG production, character design, portfolio creation, and international practical training. The Game Programmer Major prepares students to become professional programmers in the fast-changing game industry, where they learn to quickly adapt and incorporate the latest technologies such as AI and VR to create successful games.

The 3DCG Creator Major is a cutting-edge program that focuses on learning advanced 3DCG techniques for application in various fields such as film, video, games, events, industrial design, and healthcare.
With a curriculum spanning over 3 years, students develop foundational skills in drawing, digital design, and 3DCG production in the first two years, and then progress to learning comprehensive skills in planning, directing, and producing visual content in the third year.
The course includes training in popular software such as Maya, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Nuke, Houdini, ZBrush, Mari, Photoshop, and Illustrator, as well as opportunities for overseas study trips, industry seminars, internships, and English conversation. Graduates of the program can pursue careers as CG designers, animators, modelers, VFX creators, compositors, game designers, video editors, creative directors, and more, and can also obtain certifications such as CG Certification Level 1-3 and Colorist Certification Level 2-3.

The Video & Picture Creators Major is designed for aspiring creators in the field of video and film, including YouTubers who aim to entertain people worldwide.
The curriculum spans over three years, with the first year focused on building foundational computer skills such as digital fundamentals, 3D CG production, compositing, and 2D CG production.
