For those who want to pursue dance as a profession, Tokyo School of Music offers a range of Dance Entertainment Majors that cater to different aspirations and interests. Depending on their goals and preferences, students can choose from the following majors:

Dance Master Course: This is a four-year program that prepares students for leadership roles in the dance industry. Students will learn advanced techniques, choreography, production, and management skills. They will also have the opportunity to study abroad in New York, one of the world’s dance capitals.

 

NY Dance Study Abroad: This is a four-year program that allows students to spend two years in Korea and two years in New York. Students will experience different cultures and styles of dance, and network with professionals and peers from around the world.

 

Dance Professional: This is a three-year program that focuses on training students as versatile and competitive dancers. Students will learn various genres of dance, such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, and more. They will also develop their performance skills, stage presence, and audition techniques.

 

Dance & Vocal: This is a three-year program that combines dance and vocal training. Students will learn how to sing and dance at the same time, and how to express themselves through music and movement. They will also learn how to create their own songs and choreographies.

 

Dance Instructor: This is a three-year program that prepares students for teaching careers in dance. Students will learn how to design and deliver dance lessons for different levels, ages, and settings. They will also learn how to communicate effectively with students and parents, and how to manage a dance studio or school.

 

Backup Dancer: This is a two-year program that trains students to become professional backup dancers for singers, bands, or celebrities. Actor Entertainment Majors

Course Description

The Actor Entertainment Majors at Tokyo School of Music are designed for students who want to pursue careers in acting, musicals, voice acting, and entertainment. Digital Creator Majors

Course Description

The Digital Creator Majors are designed for students who want to pursue careers in the emerging fields of digital entertainment.

 

The category offers two four-year majors and one three-year major:

 

  • The VTuber entertainment core course is a four-year major that trains students to become professional VTubers who use digital avatars to create and stream online content. Students learn how to design and animate their own avatars, as well as how to produce and market their content on various platforms. 
  • The metaverse entertainment main course is a four-year major that focuses on creating immersive and interactive experiences in the metaverse, or the virtual world that connects different online platforms. Students learn how to use cutting-edge technologies such as VR, AR, and 3D modeling to create and distribute their own metaverse content, such as games, concerts, events, and social spaces.
  • The digital image creator course is a three-year major that teaches students how to produce and edit high-quality videos for various purposes and genres, such as music videos, movies, documentaries, commercials, and short films. Students learn how to use professional equipment and software, as well as how to plan, shoot, and edit their own video projects. They also learn how to express their artistic vision and communicate their message effectively through visual storytelling.
