School Introduction

ISI's first campus was established in 1992 in Nagano, and over the years ISI has grown to become one of Japan's largest Japanese language schools, opening another 4 schools in Tokyo and one in Kyoto, reaching over 3,000 students from over 110 countries. The ISI group also opened a university in Tokyo (Beijing Language and Culture University), as well as 2 vocational schools, one in Tokyo (Tokyo Business and Language College) and another in Nagano (Nagano Business and Language College).
Opened in 2006, The Takadanobaba School campus is Japan’s largest multinational Japanese language school, and its main focus is to prepare students to go into difficult to enter universities and graduate schools.
The Ikebukuro School opened in 2002 and is located in the same building as Tokyo Business and Language College (TBL) where Japanese students are enrolled, so students have the opportunity to learn practical Japanese and interact with students attending TBL. Ikebukuro’s main focus is to prepare those who are interested in entering a vocational school in Japan.

Course Description

This course is aimed at those who wish to enter university or college. The elective classes are tailored to help students achieve their career goals, and a special class at Takadanobaba campus for those who plan to enter top universities.

General Japanese - Short Term

Course Description

This course is one that can be taken for as little as 2 weeks while on a visitor, tourist or short-term stay visa, and is aimed to develop the 4 major skills (“listening”, “reading”, “speaking”, and “writing”), according to your current Japanese level.

In addition to studying Japanese, this course includes various activities such as attending sports events, cultural experiences and a day at Disney Sea, as well as sets aside plenty of free time for you to enjoy.

  • Class Times: 8:50 / 12:00 or 13:00 to 14:30

This course caters to those aiming to pass the JLPT N3 /N2 exam, but also treats you to a day at Disney Sea.
