Rosalie & Burkhardt: Poodz’s Manga in Dengeki Daioh

Words from Poodz!

The wait is finally over! Rosalie & Burkhardt, the award-winning one-shot manga by Global Tokiwaso artist Poodz (Pood Poopsie), is now featured in the December issue of Dengeki Daioh — with the complete story set for publication in 2026.

While we previously shared the exciting news of her Grand Prize win at COMITIA153’s Dengeki Daioh Editorial Department Review, now we finally get to celebrate something even bigger: the manga is out, and readers can experience Poodz’s work firsthand.

At DEOW Japan, we couldn’t be prouder. Seeing international artists take their first real step into Japan’s manga industry is exactly what the Global Tokiwaso Project was created for, and Poodz’s success is an inspiring reminder of what passionate creators can achieve.

About “Rosalie & Burkhardt”

Rosalie & Burkhardt tells the story of Rosalie, a talented but overlooked apprentice knight who faces constant rejection from potential quest partners — all because she’s a woman. Just when she’s about to give up, an older man clad a battered trash can as armor. His name is Burkhardt.

What follows is a heartwarming, funny, and uplifting tale about recognition, unlikely partnerships, and discovering worth in the most unexpected places.
