Step 3: Prepare Your Documents
Most schools in Japan will ask for:

Step 4: Your School Applies for Your Certificate of Eligibility (CoE)
Once you and DEOW Japan have agreed on the right school for you, that school will apply for your Certificate of Eligibility (CoE) on your behalf.
The CoE is an official document issued by Japan’s Immigration Bureau, and it’s required before you can apply for your student visa. Your role at this stage is simple — ensure all necessary documents are complete and accurate, and the school will handle the submission process directly with immigration.
Processing time: Usually 1–3 months, depending on the immigration office and application volume.
Step 5: Apply for a Student Visa
After you receive your CoE:
- Take it, along with your passport and visa application form, to the Japanese Embassy or Consulate in your country.
- Submit additional documents if requested.
- Wait for your visa approval (usually 1–2 weeks).
