Toyo Language School (TLS), part of the Jikei Gakuen group, teaches Japanese in Nishi-Kasai, Tokyo. Its five learning plans support progression to vocational college, university, graduate school or art university, and preparation for employment. These are learning goals, not guarantees of admission or a job.

Learning and Support

• JCT combines Jikei Japanese Monitoring (JJM), individual counseling and target setting. A continuing My Teacher supports learning, future plans and daily life as students review progress and build study habits.
• Language study and career guidance are adapted to the student’s goals. The art-university plan has separate practical drawing/design and essay/interview options; confirm their additional fees and suitability rather than treating them as included in basic Japanese tuition.
• The school offers guidance about student life, housing and career plans. Confirm support language, accommodation vacancies, costs and eligibility directly. Scholarships, placement, visa/COE and employment are not guaranteed.

Long-Term Admission and Procedures

• Complete 12 years of schooling abroad or an accepted equivalent route, with other eligibility individually assessed by TLS. The current course page and April 2026 guide specify Japanese at A1-equivalent or higher; the course page explains 150 hours of study as an indicator when an applicable test cannot be taken. This is not a guarantee of COE approval.
• Selection uses documents and an interview, in person or online as arranged, checking study motivation, Japanese preparation and financial support. Confirm the correct domestic/overseas application route and required documents; do not rely on part-time earnings to fund the course.
• Start preparing about five to six months before arrival. The course Web page says two weeks before the school’s designated COE submission date; the guide says one week before. Confirm the actual school deadline and allow additional preparation time. Do not assume seats remain.
• The guide says screening fees are paid at application and entrance, tuition and maintenance charges in line with COE application timing; another procedure paragraph describes the acceptance/COE sequence differently. Follow the school’s current invoice and confirmed instructions, not an assumed universal post-COE deadline. Later long-term tuition/maintenance is billed in six-month blocks.

Cancellation Conditions

The guide makes the screening fee non-refundable. After immigration documents are submitted but before COE issue, it states that entrance fee and tuition are refunded; after COE issue but before classes, tuition is refunded. After classes start, paid school fees are not refunded. Remittance charges for personal withdrawal are borne by the student. Treatment of maintenance and any other charges must be confirmed from the full policy; do not infer an all-inclusive refund.
