Takarazuka University of Medical and Health Care
Tokyo
About
Takarazuka University of Medical and Health Care offers a Japanese Language Program for International Students (Bekka), not a university degree course. There are two campuses: Tokyo (Arakawa) and Osaka-Namba. Japanese and cultural study, JLPT/EJU preparation and individual progression guidance support applications to medical/welfare institutions, including the university and Heisei Medical Academy group, and other universities, graduate schools or vocational schools. Physiotherapy and judo-therapy studies are possible further-study fields, not qualifications awarded by the Japanese-language program or guaranteed admissions.
The official program describes level-based teaching, life and progression guidance, interview practice and cultural/out-of-school activities. Scholarships are offered, with amounts and conditions to be confirmed. Housing availability, rent and initial costs must be arranged/confirmed separately. Kyoto and Kobe are regional destinations from Osaka, not nearby Tokyo locations.

Long-term Course
Long-term Course
Full-time Japanese-language preparation at the Tokyo or Osaka-Namba campus. The current admission page lists one-year, 18-month and two-year programs, with April and October entry. Confirm which duration is open for your chosen campus and intake; do not assume every combination is available. Applications for April normally arrive by the end of October, and for October by the end of May. Confirm the target year, available places and actual deadline.
Classes on weekdays, morning or afternoon according to campus/level placement. Obtain the current timetable and term dates from the selected campus; the old page’s exact times are not a confirmed current schedule. Level placement, compulsory Japanese subjects, JLPT preparation, elective EJU support and life/progression guidance are described on the current lesson page. Class availability and separate conditions apply; no test pass or university entry is guaranteed.
Foreign nationality; 12 years of formal education, an accepted equivalent or school-recognized high-school-level academic ability (consult for fewer than 12 years); capable financial sponsor; Japanese ability equivalent to A1 or above on the Japanese-language education reference framework. The school verifies this using Japanese tests such as JLPT/J.TEST/NAT-TEST or other objective evidence. Applicants who have already spent more than one year at another Japanese-language institution under Student status are not accepted. The earlier N4-only statement is not the current published requirement. Documents and interview are evaluated by the university; COE and visa remain subject to immigration screening.
