Meiji Academy teaches communicative Japanese through small-group lessons and cultural exchange. Main Features
Standard group study is 20 lessons per week, Monday-Friday, 45 minutes each. Classes average 3-6 students, with up to 9 in peak season. If a level has only two students, the official course changes to private/semi-private study with 15 lessons per week. Starts are normally Mondays; complete beginners start on the first Monday of a month and must know Hiragana. Morning 09:00-12:20 or afternoon 13:10-16:30 is assigned; the weekly timetable is not guaranteed in advance.

Long Term Course
The existing long-term packages are 12 weeks (3 months) or 24 weeks (6 months) of standard Japanese. The school currently does not offer student-visa sponsorship; intake sponsorship has been stopped since April 2025 until further notice. These packages are not student-visa programs.

Bildungsurlaub / Bildungszeit Course
Bildungsurlaub / Bildungszeit is a 1-2 week Japanese and cultural package in Fukuoka or Hokkaido. The school lists 30 lessons per week including standard Japanese, conversation and cultural activities, with weekdays and Saturdays and no operation in public-holiday weeks. Confirm the approved timetable and certificate for your German state and employer; do not equate the listed lessons with an automatic paid-leave entitlement or 30 clock hours.

Housing and Location
Accommodation is arranged through partners, subject to availability and a separate JPY 20,000 arrangement fee for Fukuoka/Hokkaido. Published weekly examples: shared house, Fukuoka 20,000 / Hokkaido 17,000 (minimum 4 weeks); private apartment, Fukuoka 43,000 / Hokkaido 42,000 for weeks 1-4, with duration-based pricing thereafter. Hokkaido has JPY 300 per day winter heating from 1 October to 30 April. Obtain a quote for the full stay, room type, meals, inclusions and additional days.
