Starts, Classes and Accommodation
Core courses normally start on Mondays. Complete beginners start on the first Monday of each month, with additional third-Monday starts in June, July and August under the 2026 schedule. Confirm your start date, especially for a student-visa package.
Published 2026 Fukuoka homestay example: ¥27,000 per week, including breakfast and dinner, plus accommodation placement ¥20,000. Long Term Course
Description
The Fukuoka long-term program focuses on communicative Japanese, with 20 lessons per week. The one-year course contains 40 study weeks plus holidays; the 18-month course contains 60 study weeks plus holidays. Visa approval and residence duration depend on individual circumstances and immigration decisions.

Registration is included in these package prices. Long-term packages include required school costs and materials; accommodation is separate. The 10- and 20-week packages require a suitable permitted stay; student-visa sponsorship is not provided for study of six months or less. Confirm the visa conditions before booking.
Regular core course: ¥40,000 per week plus one-time registration ¥18,000. Required study materials are included. Prices are the published 2026 schedule; confirm the applicable quote for a 2027 start. Official 2026 price list (checked 12 October 2026).
Class Schedule
Lessons take place on weekdays. Class times depend on the course and level; confirm your timetable with Fukuoka. Do not choose arrival dates until the school confirms orientation and intake arrangements.

GenkiJACS Fukuoka is located in the heart of the city, near Hakata Station. Close to the beaches and the city center, students can enjoy a full immersion in Japanese culture thanks to numerous festivals such as the Tamaseseri or Nakasu Festival and the rich historical heritage with, for example, the famous Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine.
