About

Guided by the school’s motto, “Beyond Japanese,” ECC Shinjuku Japanese Language Institute aspires to empower students to turn their dreams into reality through Japanese language education.

The primary objective is to cultivate a Japanese language proficiency that equips students, irrespective of their unique goals, with well-rounded abilities in listening, speaking, and writing, ensuring they excel in various contexts and purposes.

Main Features

Practical Japanese

  • The essence of ECC ‘s teaching methodology lies in “drawing out” a student’s skill. Students will not only gain academic and written Japanese knowledge, but also practical Japanese and further skills to be able to use the language outside of the classroom and in their future. through which students will deepen their Japanese skills.

Experienced teachers

  • The instructors at the ECC Japanese Language Institute are thoroughly committed to teaching. Instructors are well-trained to encourage students to speak more and draw out our students’ independence and motivation

Living support

  • ECC provides not only educational support, but also living support. This educational and living support not only prevents barriers to language learning from arising, it also guides each student to achieve their goals.

Interact with locals

  • Schools of the ECC group are located near each others. There are many opportunities to communicate with Japanese students who are studying with the ECC group. Make the most of the opportunities for cultural exchange that only ECC can provide.

Applications and Accommodation

Shinjuku student-visa comprehensive routes have April/October entries; resident/short-stay comprehensive Japanese starts from five weeks. Practical Conversation at Shinjuku remains unconfirmed because the campus page and admission PDF differ. Confirm the appropriate route, application evidence and current deadline. The existing staff-support language list is not independently verified for current availability; request the language you need.

ECC introduces residences, shared/guest houses, apartments and homestays. Housing is separate from tuition; request current vacancy, rent, initial charges, utilities and conditions. Do not assume a listed example guarantees a room or a discount.

Shinjuku opening and price: confirmation required

The official Shinjuku campus page introduces Practical Conversation, but the current short-course admission PDF marks this course for Nagoya and Kobe only and leaves Shinjuku blank. It is not established whether this is an intake restriction or an outdated page. This tab preserves the course introduction, not a promise that Shinjuku currently accepts applications. Ask Shinjuku for written confirmation of opening dates, eligibility, class format and a quotation. No confirmed Shinjuku course fee is displayed here.

The general ECC course focuses on usable Japanese for everyday interaction and is described at beginner-to-intermediate level. Availability, class level, duration and timetable at Shinjuku must be confirmed before booking.
