Main Features

Transitional study rate is 95%
One of the unique characteristics of the Edo Cultural Center is the effective training of communication skills and Japanese language abilities in a short period of time. As a result, students have more time to prepare for studying. Students are guided and consulted on their path of study and supported step by step as they prepare to reach their desired educational goals including timely preparation for the required entrance exams.

The school has created courses especially geared for the Japanese language proficiency exam, Japanese study abroad exam, and university entrance exam, with all of the necessary materials to help the students be successful.

Students who graduate this school go on to study at universities, graduate schools and professional schools, which include Tokyo University, Waseda University, Ritsumeikan University, Tokyo University of Technology, Mushino University, Tokyo International University, IT professional schools, as well as cooking, designing and other specialty fields. The school is proud of their students’ remarkable achievements every year.

Complete support for transitional learning
The school has a complete system of support for students’ life after grauduation, such as providing students with information materials on many universities and professional schools throughout the country, organizing from 2 to 3 introductory lectures about schools every month, and taking time to go on campus tours of the student’s schools of interest.

In addition, the homeroom teacher together with the faculty staff provide advice, individual counseling, mock interviews, essay-writing support, and time within class to prepare for the Japanese study abroad exam and to delve deeper into the fields of study that students are particularly interested in in order to help students develop their own abilities.

Students with excellent academic achievement gain recognition & recommendation from the school principal.

Top priority is given to supporting students and fostering a friendly learning environment
As a medium-sized school, teachers, school staff and students get very close, creating a family-like atmosphere. The school regularly conducts 1-on-1 counseling sessions for each student, personable guidance on living and studying abroad, and dedicated instruction in class, which is considered a most comprehensive support for students.

In addition, the school actively recommends students of good standing to boost employability, and even helps students in person with opening a bank account, processes related to notification of changes to ones address of residence, and processes related to the visa extension of students studying after graduation. It can be said that the above support is the most positive & helpful effort that the school gives, which it does happily, believing in the motto that students are the center.
