School Introduction

Aoyama International Education Institute was established in 1988. The school is proud that not only is there are a large number of students gaining high scores every year in the Japanese study abroad exams as well as passing N1 & N2 certification in the Japanese language proficiency test, but also that their students have an up to 90% entry rate into universities and colleges throughout the country. In addition, the academy writes letters of recommendation for their students to up to 15 universities that actively accept them, including the famous Meiji University. In some cases, students are able to attend these universities without need of application, depending on the university. For students who have excellent academic achievements, high attendance rates and great learning attitudes, the academy may grant a scholarship to cover tuition expenses, as well as can offer bonuses to support students financially as they study abroad.
Total Number of Students: 420
Class Size: Maximum number of students in a class is 20 people. The maximum number of students can transfer is 12 students

Main Features

Comprehensive student support system
The Academy actively organizes orientation sessions on a variety of topics related to post-graduation, interviewing and job-seeking, as well as university and college transfer seminars with previous graduates.
In addition, the school actively recommends its outstanding students to universities and colleges throughout the country to support their goals. At this school, there are many students preparing to enter universities that are difficult to gain admission to, such as Meiji University, University of Tokyo, Waseda University, Chuo University, and Ritsumeikan University.
For those students who are planning to work after graduation, the institute organizes regular visits to 3rd party companies so students can get direct information about the kinds of employment opportunities available and the work environments of Japanese businesses. This is believed to be the best way for students to envision their future employment goals.
Diverse school curricula
In addition to Japanese language classes, the school also offers business classes which are popular among its students. Furthermore, the school has elective classes where students learn both Japanese language and culture through newspapers, magazines, and novels, as well as through interactive games. Students also have access to books related to common examinations, such as the Japanese study abroad exam, the Japanese language proficiency test, as well as actual tests & sample questions.
The school has also created a variety of interesting lessons on arts & creation, food, geography, culture, fashion, music, and film.
This diverse range of activities and learning models allows students to develop their Japanese communication abilities through interaction.
Exchange with Japanese people
The academy organizes regular meetups with Japanese people to help students acquire natural Japanese which is different from that found in textbooks. As such, there are many opportunities for the mutual exchange of culture and life experience from various countries within small groups of 1 to 5 people.
Students also have opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities together where they can learn traditional Japanese dances, folk games, helping to form stronger bonds with fellow students as well as further providing an enriched experience and understanding of Japanese culture.
